Q. How long have you lived at Daybreak?
A. About a year and a half
Q. Do you enjoy it?
A. Yes, it's comfortable, good guys, it feels like home.
I've had jobs, money, a house; but I'm here now. You don't need money to make you happy, but it would be nice to be able to afford a chocolate bar now and again.

Has been a drug addict for 20 years, living in shelters and on the streets. She's been with Daybreak 6 months.
This is the first time I have felt safe. When I leave the house there are not people trying to sell you drugs. I was sick a couple of months ago and three people in the house asked me if I was ok. This is the first time anyone has ever done that in my life! Daybreak has given me a chance to get clean and gain my strength. I now feel confident about the future, I feel healthier and mentally stronger.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and all the staff
at Daybreak for helping make Christmas time a little brighter for me
and the other residents here at Flora House. I honestly had so much
fun at the party and the food and all the wonderful gifts were truly
awesome! A real class act! Not only did I have fun, but I met some new
people and got to know some of the guys in our house a lot better as
well. Christmas is a hard time for me, thank you to all of the great
people at Daybreak for all that you've done to make it better.
Very respectfully yours,
