What We Offer and Who We're Looking For

Daybreak Non-Profit Housing offers long term, minimal support living, in shared community-based homes to single men and women in need.

 

 

What we offer:

 

  • Private, furnished, locked bedrooms in shared homes with access to shared kitchen, bathrooms and living spaces in desirable and convenient locations in Ottawa.

 

  • Homes that are equipped with cable television in shared living spaces, a home telephone and WIFI.

 

  • A housing support worker to work with residents on goal planning and life skills. Once residents show readiness to live independently, the case manager will support you with permanent housing.

 

  • Resources to encourage residents to be a part of their community and focus on their wellness.

 

What we’re looking for in potential residents:

 

  • Can live independently and require minimal support.

 

  • Can cook for themselves and participate in weekly chore rotations.

 

  • Understand their mental health needs, their supports and ability to manage their own medications.

 

  • Are not currently consuming drugs or alcohol and show a commitment to their personal growth and wellness.

 

  • Currently accessing external community supports

 

  • In need of safe, community-based home

 

  • Eligible to apply for the Social Housing Registry of Ottawa, currently on OW, ODSP, or in need of Rent Geared to Income (RGI)
